The educational qualifications for this position are: A post secondary education in a related discipline including African Nova Scotian/Black studies, Social Sciences, Business, Education, etc. is preferred and/or related work experience in the areas of African Nova Scotian/Black education, policy, programs, or strategies. *

You have a minimum five (5) years (full-time equivalent) of progressively responsible experience in ANS/Black educational settings, Student Supports, community engagement or educational leadership. *

You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and MS Teams. *

You have extensive knowledge of African Nova Scotian/Black ways of teaching, learning, and knowing, as well as an understanding or the key issues and barriers facing International students? *

You have demonstrated experience working directly with African Nova Scotian/Black students, communities, and organizations with an understanding of barriers and supports required for International students? *

You have experience engaging with community councils, advisory groups and leadership tables? *

You have lived experience as a member of the African Nova Scotian/Black community? *

You have demonstrated fiscal acumen and can effectively manage an operating budget? *
