The educational qualification for this position is: a Canadian STCW Certificate of Competency at a Second Engineer/Chief Engineer level or a non-Canadian STCW Certificate of Competency at a Chief Engineer level. You either possess these qualifications or have achieved a higher level of education or training in this field. *

You have a minimum of five years (full-time equivalent) of recent occupational experience that is directly related to this Faculty position, which includes working on board ships as a ships engineer or working in an ashore office related to the shipping industry. For Faculty positions that require experience in apprenticed fields please note two years of your training will be counted towards the educational requirements and cannot be included as part of your occupational experience. *

NSCC Faculty must be comfortable working with technology to enhance the student experience. You are familiar with and comfortable working in a digital environment and using computer applications such as Microsoft Office suite. *

You have experience providing performance feedback. *

You have experience in the delivery of educational programs or training to adults. *

You have experience with electronic and camless engines. *

You have experience on board as an Electro-Technical Officer. *
