The Opportunity

Lounsbury Furniture in Moncton has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Supervisor.

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the management and handling of all incoming and outgoing products, placement of produce in warehouse, and distribution functions.

We are seeking someone who is self-motivated and wants to deliver exceptional customer service. We value individuals who take pride in their work, show initiative, and want to be part of a cohesive team.

This position is Tuesday to Saturday:

  • Tuesday 8am to 5pm
  • Wednesday 8am to 5pm
  • Thursday 8am to 5pm
  • Friday 8am to 5pm
  • Saturday 8am to 5pm

This position has opportunity for growth into a management role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the incoming and outgoing freight, product, and supplies that come to the warehouse.
  • Ensure all products that are to be delivered are properly loaded onto the delivery trucks, in accordance with the delivery schedule.
  • Find solutions to delivery issues.
  • Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts.
  • Investigate lost or damaged shipments.
  • Ensure delivery truck follow maintenance schedule.
  • Supervise a team of warehouse employees.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of direct work experience in a warehouse supervisor or management function or supply chain management position
  • Working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse documentation, with good writing skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team leadership and teambuilding abilities
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills, diplomacy, and tact
  • Excellent planning and resource allocation skills
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel
