We are actively seeking a Test Automation Engineer with expertise in Tosca to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing automation strategies, mentoring team members, and collaborating with clients to deliver high-quality testing solutions. The candidate will be required to occasionally work on-site with our client in Ottawa.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement a Tosca automation strategy and framework

  • Mentor team members on Tosca best practices and processes

  • Identify and document defects during test execution using defect tracking tools

  • Collaborate with clients to prioritize testing activities

  • Analyze test results to identify issues and propose solutions

  • Provide expert consulting and guidance on test automation implementation

What you'll need

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Tosca TestSuite, including framework design, module creation, and scripting
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data validation
  • Proficiency in writing API tests using Postman
  • 7+ years of experience in test automation across at least three projects or roles
  • Experience with at least two automation tools
  • Strong communication and consulting skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Continuous learner, adaptable to new tools and industry best practices

Preferred:

  • Experience with Playwright and TypeScript
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and unit testing
  • Experience testing web and enterprise applications
  • Exposure to mobile testing environments (iOS and Android)
