Halifax Water is inviting applicants for One (1) Term Works Supervisor in the Wastewater and Stormwater Services Department.

Responsibilities
The Works Supervisor provides leadership and supervision to staff and oversees the development, implementation, scheduling and control of municipal storm and wastewater infrastructure throughout the Municipality. This position will be responsible for the quality delivery of maintenance programs through the preparation and administration of emergency and planned programming and measurement against performance standards.
What you'll need
Qualifications
As a Works Supervisor, you bring 7+ years broad based knowledge and experience in municipal wastewater/stormwater system operations and maintenance, combined with a Grade 12 or equivalent education, a Level 1 Wastewater Collection Certification, and are willing to obtain Level 2 within one year. You have previous supervisory experience and regional specific system operational knowledge with the ability to analyze emergency and alarm conditions quickly and take appropriate action to reduce environmental threats.
