The Opportunity
This position is based at our facility in Hackett's Cove.
As an entrepreneurial minded Product Marketing Specialist at Nautel, you are where our business goals and technology products meet. You will be responsible for the guiding the international success of your products. Your influence will span from helping to define products and product strategy right through to launch and outbound marketing activities for your products. You will craft the messaging and positioning for products. You'll conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial. You will become the expert on competitors and buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria. Your market feedback and analysis will also help you to support our design team in defining product strategies and "what's next" for Nautel and our customers.
Other core responsibilities will include:
· Champion all aspects of strategy and go-to-market planning over the lifecycle of your assigned products
· Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your products in the market
· Sales enablement - communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products
· Live presentations and presentation content: Represent Nautel at live speaking events, webinars, videos, and in front of broadcast customers
· Product launch - plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan. Significant role in major event design and planning
· Market intelligence - be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to crush them
· Demand generation - develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your products
· Create product content (e.g. sales enablement documentation, brochures, case studies, product videos, website copy, blog posts) to articulate the benefits of our products to the world
· Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to product feature adoption and usage
· Create Business cases for product and marketing initiatives and gain endorsement from senior management
· Analyze and synthesize sales, marketing, competitive, pricing and biz case data to develop strategies. Prepare succinct briefing reports for senior management
What you'll need
Qualifications
Skills & Experience:
· MBA or Bachelor's in business or marketing complemented with excellent technical ability or a technical degree complemented by business acumen
· Sales experience is an asset as is an entrepreneurial mindset
· Broadcast industry, or RF, or IP technical skills are would be a great asset in this role
· Digital marketing, product marketing, and/or product management skills
· Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills -- there is a heavy amount of writing and presenting/selling ideas in this role
· Proficiency in content management systems. You will be expected to build product pages, optimize the conversion paths on those pages, and use dynamic calls-to-action to create and test buyer stage-specific calls-to-action
· Proven analytical skills and a competitive mindset
· Willing to travel 20%-25%
· Prefer working in a collaborative, cross-team capacity. This role requires you to work across functions and departments to bring the product to life. You are at the center, constantly interacting with teammates and prospects
· A high level of on the job mentoring and development will be available to support your growth in this role. This role could be an opportunity for the right candidate to develop into increased responsibility or other roles
