What you'll do

Responsibilities

What you'll do - Responsibilities:

As a member of our team, you will be right in the thick of it, working hand in hand with our savvy Business Partners to source and keep top notch talent. In this role, you will report to the Manager, Talent Strategy and will support the acquisition strategy within People & Culture, working closely with the Talent Team to ensure our plan is not just strategic but also operationally sound.

In this role you will be:

  • Responsible for leveraging available technological resources to achieve the objectives set forth in the talent acquisition strategic framework and operational plans. This involves staying updated on emerging technologies that could elevate our talent acquisition processes.
  • Responsible for working closely with Business Partners to forecast talent needs based on business objective and growth projections, ensuring a consistent stream of highly qualified candidates by identifying and implementing innovative recruitment strategies.
  • Responsible for overseeing a streamlined and productive end-to-end recruitment process, involving consulting, and collaborating with Business Partners, conducting reference checks, and overseeing negotiation and offer procedures.
  • Responsible for providing guidance to managers and employees regarding staffing policies, processes, and procedures. Ensuring the thorough execution of the recruitment process from pre-interview to post-interview stages, including documentation, efficient onboarding, and retention strategies.
  • Responsible for analyzing workforce data and trends to identify gaps and areas for improvement in talent management.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to address talent shortages proactively, including workforce restricting, talent redeployment and outsourcing.
  • Responsible for ensuring a positive and engaging employee experience through effective onboarding, ongoing support and ensuring effective opportunities for feedback and development.
  • Responsible for monitoring employee satisfaction through surveys and other feedback mechanisms and recommending action to address areas of concern.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in Human Resources or relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience with recruitment. Prior experience within a unionized environment will be beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Relevant and related experience in talent acquisition, talent management, or related HR roles.
  • Proven record of developing and implementing successful talent strategies.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of HR practices, employment laws and industry trends.
  • Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Microsoft office suite.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members and hiring managers.

Professional Skills:

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify insights, and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Innovative thinker, able to use and develop new sources for recruitment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Results-driven, outgoing, and capable of building strong relationships.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong organizational skills demonstrating excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings with internal and external parties.
  • Passionate about recruitment and proven success in identifying top talent.
  • A keen eye for detail and demonstrating a high sense of urgency in delivering high quality customer service.
