Kraken Robotics is currently recruiting a System Quality Tester to join our dynamic team. The primary purpose of the position is to develop and maintain testing at the various stages of manufacturing to help identify where a production problem is occurring and the remedial steps it requires to prevent it in the future. The System Quality Tester will assist to prevent defects, maintain consistency, adhere to regulations, and foster continuous improvement. This position is based out of our Mount Pearl, NL, Canada office location.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Include but not limited to the follwoing:
• Perform in process testing and factory acceptance testing,
• Work with Engineering, Project Management, Software, Production to troubleshoot, when necessary,
• Raise product and process non-conformances.
• Produce accurate testing documentation,
• Test and setup equipment and products as required,
• Update and monitor work and test instructions, and related documentation as necessary,
• Initiate and implement continual improvement activities,
• Participate in quality audits as required,
• Other duties as assigned by the Testing Coordinator
What you'll need
Qualifications
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, or other Technical Diploma with experience
• Strong Troubleshooting Skills
• Would be considered an asset: Experience with reading Electrical/Mechanical Drawings
• Software knowledge considered an asset
• High degree of organization, with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Strong written and oral communications skills (technical reporting and engineering documentation)
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
