The Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission of New Brunswick is accepting applications for a temporary position of Support Clerk in the Northwest Region in Grand Falls.
Reporting to the Administrative Assisant, Northwest Region, the Support Clerk will perform administrative functions to support the claims management process within the region. The Support Clerk will process new information on existing and finalled claims, complete annual review of claims, assist the case management team in arranging expedited services for clients, obtain accurate and complete information, make calculations, review and authorize payment of medical services as well as review and pay accounts within authority level. The Support Clerk will also be responsible for responding to enquiries and processing mail.
As the successful applicant, you will possess a high school diploma and have a one-year business or medical secretary course. You will have two years relevant work experience. The ability to function in a Windows computer environment and the ability to type accurately at a rate of 40 wpm is essential. Effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are also essential. Written and spoken competence in English and French is required.
