Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, Application Support, the Support Analyst provides support and maintenance for SMUport, internet, authentication, proxy, and load balancing solutions. The Support Analyst develops and recommends plans for university portal applications, designs custom portal applications and designs interfaces for application integration with other university information systems. This role also analyzes current information systems and recommends changes to systems, monitors system performance, identifies immediate problems and takes corrective actions.

Group affiliation for this position is with the Bargaining Unit 79. The position is evaluated at a Group 9 (salary range $53,675 - 65,607). The Collective Agreement can be viewed here.

Qualifications

To be the successful Support Analyst, you will possess a Community College diploma in Programming or related courses and a minimum of 3 (three) years of directly related work experience. Additional requirements include current technology knowledge, solid knowledge and experience in web-based application development and knowledge and experience in one or more of the following: PHP, JavaScript, SQL, HA/Proxy, CAS, ETHOS Identity Management, Tomcat, Python.
