Thermalite, formally Downeast Plastics Ltd, is looking for motivated, energetic and adaptable people to join the team in their Cap-Pelé plant. Thermalite has been in operation since 1982 and is currently experiencing strong growth.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions
- Supervise, co-ordinate the work activities of the plant employees
- Ensure that standards for safe working conditions are met
- Ensure that department lead hands, train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
- Recommend measures to improve productivity, quality and safety
- Participate in personnel matters such as hiring, training scheduling, disciplinary action and terminations
- Fill out daily workload activities and give to Operations Manager
- Must be able to troubleshoot problems in all production departments
- Approve overtime
- Approve worked hours daily
- May be asked to perform other duties
What you'll need
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or local equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience Supervisor or Team lead
- Knowledge of general office management and current computer office communications technologies ; PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
Other Skills/Abilities
- Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction, able to maintain confidentiality and handle matters discreetly
- Effective time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple priorities
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with senior level management and corporate contacts
- Exceptional high level of commitment to the success of our team and organization
- Able to work a flexible schedule at times in order to facilitate emergency orders
