Imperial Manufacturing Group is currently looking for a Supervisor, Maintenance Department for our Richibucto location. While being responsible for the maintenance of our equipment and the upkeep of our Richibucto production facility, the successful candidate will also lead a team of employees that includes industrial mechanics, industrial electricians, tool and die shop workers, and maintenance planners to ensure efficient and effective operations.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Leading the maintenance team; guiding, supervising, coaching, managing performance, cross-training, and managing employee development
  • Leading preventative maintenance initiatives
  • Developing, managing and leading machine upgrades and improvement projects in a high-volume production environment
  • Directing the maintenance and repair of plant machinery, electrical and mechanical systems
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of schedules, procedures and processes for safety inspections
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by actively searching for improvement areas while ensuring LEAN Manufacturing concepts remain integrated
  • Leading technical manufacturing changes across IMG, as well as playing an active role in the design of equipment, leading equipment builds, monitoring improvements and transferring technology improvements
  • Identifying changes and managing the process used to transfer upgrades across manufacturing, as well as improving production performance, ensuring consistency of design, ensuring documentation is in place
  • Leading and managing the change management process to migrate changes from one line to another production line or site
  • Developing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for maintenance functions
  • Evaluating improvement opportunities, develop action plans and schedules to implement improvements, including expected ROI's, resource requirements and completion dates
  • Manage and train team, provide direction and leadership to ensure that the operational needs are met, and production interruptions minimized
  • All other duties as assigned

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Education: College or University degree in Engineering, Facilities Management and/or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in a Managerial role and/or leading a maintenance team
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities and excellent leadership skills
  • Knowledge of the different trades and the different fields that this position oversees
  • Bilingualism would be considered a strong asset
  • Able to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Having extensive experience in one or many of the skilled trades that this position oversees; having red seal in one of those trades would be considered an asset
  • Good computer knowledge
  • Demonstrate good communication skills both written and oral
