The Supervisor, Corporate Security Services will provide supervision and guidance to a team of contracted security personnel. This role is responsible for the review, investigation and report of security incidents reported to the Security Operations Centre (SOC). The incumbent will provide exceptional customer service and act as a liaison between the loss prevention team, its contracted security team, and all internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Respond to inquiries and concerns, provide expertise and collaboration
  • Supervise contracted security operations centre staff
  • Conduct all initial criminal investigations impacting the store network
  • Providing on-site security for the Head Office and the Distribution Centre
  • Be a physical security support for the store network, aid in diagnosing and troubleshooting and resolving system issues and failures
  • Be able to operate as a collaborative member of a team

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Maintain working knowledge of NSLC emergency management procedures to lead SOC coordination during emergency situations including but not limited to fires and workplace violence
  • Maintain the Report Management System in ways that pertain to report maintenance, infrastructure tickets and troubleshooting
  • Liaise with team members to support situational awareness
  • Maintain a global perspective when addressing criminality, assess incident reports and how they may be linked, associated or otherwise related
  • Report and liaise with the criminal justice system
  • Represent the NSLC as a witness in court
  • Demonstrate commitment to the NSLC's social responsibility mandate and KORE Values
  • Demonstrate commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What you'll need

Qualifications

As a qualified candidate, you will have:

  • Certificate, Diploma, and/or Bachelor's degree in criminology or related field of study
  • 2-5 years experience in security or related field
  • Experience leading and supervising a team
  • Remote customer service experience
  • Experience and skill in data analysis
  • Obtain recognized government security clearance

As the ideal candidate, you will also have:

  • Experience with investigative interviewing
  • Use of Genetec video management systems
