Responsibilities

The day-to-day of a Recruitment Advisor at UFred

The Recruitment Advisor, reporting directly to the Recruitment Manager, is responsible for building relationships and effectively promoting all programs offered by the University of Fredericton. The position is responsible for supporting and encouraging potential students through the admissions process in order to meet target enrolment goals. This role also includes various administrative duties, such as creating and maintaining accurate lead and opportunity records.

As a Recruitment Advisor, you can expect to

  • Communicate over the phone and via email with prospective students throughout the application process
  • Establish and maintain relationships with prospective students
  • Pursue qualified candidates for enrolment, and determine appropriateness of candidates for admission based upon career goal compatibility
  • Maintain a prospective student database
  • Work with a variety of status reports
  • Meet or exceed specific targets and goals

Qualifications

  • An ability to persuade and influence others
  • An interest in creating and delivering presentations
  • Extremely well organized and attentive to detail
  • Able to work independently and to self-direct his/her daily activities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a team player and a relationship builder
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image
  • Flexibility - we work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with deadlines and targets
  • You enjoy a challenge and are dedicated to pursuing your goals
  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management systems an asset
  • Capable of accommodating last-minute critical requests
  • Post-secondary education preferred

Hours of Work
This is a full-time position (35 hours), under regular business hours. The position is available in Fredericton, NB, with the opportunity to work remotely.
