About Our Opportunity

Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Storeperson is responsible for the issuance and receipt of materials and supplies for use by staff and contractors, safekeeping of inventory, and the issuance of locks and keys.

What you'll do


• Receive materials and supplies for inventory by checking quantities of materials and supplies received against packing slips and inspecting goods to ensure they are damage free.
• Electronically receive goods in the system.
• Issue materials from inventory for staff and contractors by filling orders for stock and for work orders for stock issued and obtain signatures.
• Ensure the safekeeping and security of duplicate keys and locks by issuing locks and keys to persons who only have proper authorization and update electronic database with lock change information.
• Perform spot checks on items and identifying items that require replenishment.

What you'll need


• Grade 12 or high school equivalent, plus two years' experience in similar or related role that would allow for basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and hardware parts and a good knowledge of inventory procedures.
• Familiar with desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, electronic inventory systems, Yardi Property Management software and Keystone Key Control software.


• Current Emergency First Aid and WHMIS certifications.

Competencies required at this level of work are Attention to detail, Client Service, Communication, Teamwork and Adaptability to Change.

Nova Scotia Provincial Housing Agency (NSPHA) is the provincial government agency responsible for the administration and delivery of affordable housing solutions for low-income Nova Scotians.

District offices manage the day-to-day operations of Nova Scotia's housing stock.
