Lounsbury Furniture in Miramichi is seeking an experienced Store Manager. The Manager will oversee all operations of the retail store in support of short and long-term goals of the company while upholding the company's image and mission statement.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Manage, train and coach a team of sales professionals to achieve desires goals and objectives
  • Work to resolve customer related issues
  • Participate in setting goals and targets including sales, gross margin, net profit, and overall product mix and work to achieve or exceed those targets and goals
  • Responsible for budgets, forecasts, monthly reports and diligent review of Profit & Loss Statement
  • Daily operation of staff management, scheduling and supervision, customer satisfaction, neat product presentation, inventory management, and carrying out seasonal changes and promotional activities
  • Participate in long-range, strategic plan development for the organization to ensure continued growth and success
  • Work with other departments to ensure the customer receives the best customer service possible

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business and/or sales
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a retail environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control techniques and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of budget, accounting, and fiscal management
  • Sound judgment and strong decision making skills
