As the Senior User Experience (UX) Specialist reporting to the Sr. Manager UX on our iLottery team, you would be responsible for translating business objectives into digital experiences that make our players happy. This position leads or plays a senior supporting role in all aspects of the UX design process, including Research, Design, Prototyping, Testing and Measurement. Working closely with business and technical stakeholders, the Senior UX Specialist helps define our digital roadmap and leads the implementation of new features and improvements.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Product Management: work with key stakeholders to improve alc.ca and our mobile apps through projects and enhancements. Act as Product Owner on Agile initiatives. Create a Product Vision and Roadmap. Define business requirements and write user stories aligned to business objectives. Create, update and prioritize the product backlog. Work with the Scrum Master and Development team to remove impediments.

UX Design & Prototyping: Assess business/user requirements to create effective UX designs. Develop personas. Produce sitemaps, information architecture, sketches, wireframes, annotations, and prototypes. Facilitate design workshops. Work with the Web Designer to ensure creative outputs are user-friendly. Document process flows and user journeys.

UX Research & Measurement: Conduct interviews and use analytics to understand our players. Stay current on best practices, trends, technologies, and customer pain points. Conduct competitive research. Support usability testing efforts. Compile and share findings with the UX team and key stakeholders.

Content Management: Support content management efforts. Create content and make updates to alc.ca using Content Managements System (CMS) authoring capabilities. Be proficient in the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) CMS including custom templates and components. Troubleshoot CMS issues with the AEM development team.

User Acceptance Testing: Support user acceptance testing efforts when delivering projects or enhancements, including creation and execution of test cases.

What you'll need

Qualifications

You have 5+ years business experience

You understand user experience best practices and web technologies

You are collaborative and can get your point across with tact

You are willing to learn and try new things that help the team and the organization

You pay strong attention to detail

You are a strong communicator (verbal and written)

You have a good understanding of business value drivers

You have experience working on projects in a team-based environment

In addition, any or all of the following experience would be great:

  • Agile Development methodologies (Scrum)
  • Mobile apps (Android and iOS)
  • Project and UX software (JIRA, Axure, etc.)
  • Gaming and/or gambling industry
  • CSS and HTML
  • Content Management Systems (Adobe or other)
