Lounsbury Heavy-Duty Truck in Moncton is looking for a Shipper / Receiver to work in the Parts Department. 

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Make sure the shipments that are going out are accurate (going to the right place).
  • Decide what is the best way to ship something (ground, air, etc.)
  • Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents.
  • Assemble containers and crates in the Parts area: keep is clean and organized.
  • Keep records/files up to date.
  • Inspect packages when they arrive and make sure there's no damage... if there is, make arrangements to send it back and get a new order.
  • Pack goods to be shipped and unpack goods received.
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents (we want to make sure we received the right stuff).

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a shipping / receiving role is an asset.
  • Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting (up to 50lbs).
  • Loves to keep their workarea very clean and organized.
  • Reacts quicky to getting task done; has a strong sense of urgency.
  • Great communication skills - will let people know what they need to know, and when they need to know it.
  • Works great in a team and can also work independently (you won't have anyone standing over your shoulder telling you what to do... you'll need to be proactive and decide what needs to get done).
  • Is comfortable using a computer and email.
