This role will be based in our Cornwall, Ontario operation, with strong ties to Nova Scotia.

A position has arisen for a 'Hands On' position of Senior Quality Inspector. The role will be responsible for the in-process, final and receiving inspection of all Nautel C-Tech products and purchased materials. Assistance with Quality Assurance policies and processes will also be an important part of this role, as the role actively supports the maintenance of the Quality Assurance systems at Nautel C-Tech Limited.

The successful applicant can look forward to a variety of responsibilities including:

Conducting & recording visual, electro-mechanical and basic functionality testing against drawings, specifications, standards and test procedures requirements.

Conducting & recording in-process and final inspections of all manufactured, reworked and modified products.

Generating detailed and summarized inspection reports.

Conducting in-house equipment calibrations and verifications as required.

Recommending and implementing changes to the quality management policies, procedures and processes.

Providing failure analysis and associated corrective actions as well as analysing and recommending actions regarding internal non-conformances.

Performing internal or supplier audits as required.

Initiating, investigating, determining root cause, action plans, follow up, documenting and verification of corrective actions as required.

Collecting, analysing and reporting data relating to the quality systems.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Successful applicants should have:

A strong knowledge of ISO processes and procedures, as well as the ability to learn various manufacturing and environmental standards.

Awareness of the importance of accurate and complete documentation.

Ability to be aware of, and escalate, potential problems.

Dependability and the ability to work well within a team or independently.

Ability to pick up new concepts and information quickly.

Ability to read and understand technical documentation such as drawings, parts lists, schematics, job sheets and work orders for quality

Ability to communicate effectively and contribute constructively within a team environment across the entire departmental spectrum of the company.

Ability to take ownership of quality issues and follow them through.

Ability and desire to actively participate in quality and environmental initiatives.

Able to use computer systems and their associated software such as computer-based quality systems, Microsoft Office.
