The Scotiabank Centre, managed by Events East Group, is the largest multipurpose facility in Atlantic Canada, serving as the region's premier venue for major entertainment and sporting events and the nucleus of major event activity in Nova Scotia. Having hosted the world's top performers, homegrown talent, best in class athletes, Scotiabank Centre has been a source for community vibrancy and pride for 40 years. With a seating capacity of more than 10,000 and the versatility to accommodate a range of events, Scotiabank Centre hosts between 450,000-500,000 attendees each year and is home to the Halifax Mooseheads, the Halifax Hurricanes, the Halifax Thunderbirds and the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo.
We are currently seeking an inspired individual to join our Scotiabank Centre senior leadership team in the role of Senior Manager Projects - Event Operations.
Reporting to the President & CEO, the Senior Manager Projects - Event Operations will have a two-pronged measure for success. The primary focus is on developing and ensuring organizational projects associated with improving event delivery and operations are developed and managed at exemplary level resulting in an extraordinary "Fan Experience" for all guests. The second, working with a highly competent team led by the Director of Operations, is to support the effective and efficient delivery of event operations to meet customer and guest expectations.

Requisites for the Role:
- 10+ years of event and operational experience within the sports and entertainment industry
- Proven track record of developing and leading high performing teams in a similar environment
- Successful style in motivating employees to work in a safe and efficient manner
- Demonstrated executive leadership in organizations
- Ability to create and lever partnerships
- Strategic, creative and forward-thinking visionary
- Enthusiastic team leader who thrives in a high paced, collaborative environment
- Passionate about inspiring those around you to be their best through coaching and mentorship
- Ability to collaborate with others to advance decisions in the organization
- Demonstrated ability to implement long-term strategies from concept stage through to implementation and evaluation
- Goal focused and detail oriented
- Business Degree and/or combination of experience
A little bit about us
ScotiaBank Centre
Scotiabank Centre is located on Brunswick Street in the heart of downtown Halifax, just below the old Town Clock and Halifax Citadel National Historic Site.
The facility opened in 1978 as Halifax Metro Centre and in September 2014 transitioned to Scotiabank Centre.
