Salary Band: $71,652 - $113,748 - A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 at the time of this posting. (Individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, market conditions, relevant experience, education, training and internal equity).

Work Location: Office or Hybrid option working from either our Moncton or Halifax Office

  • Onboarding/Probation: Full-time in-office for the first 6 months, based in Moncton, NB preferred.
  • After Probation: You can choose to either continue working full-time in the office or switch to a hybrid model, coming into the office 2-3 times a week.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement: Lead the procurement process across IT departments and in compliance with regulations and internal policies. Conduct market research, spend analysis, and training. Serve as a procurement subject matter expert providing guidance and best practice while mitigating risk and identifying process improvement areas. Coordinate with all stakeholders for contract renewals, onboarding, offboarding, compliance and all contract lifecycle management activities. Oversee all procure to pay activities and procurement requests related to assigned category.

Vendor Management: Track and report on vendor risk and performance; present insights to Senior Management. Hold vendors accountable to contracts and identify areas to reduce organizational risk.

Vendor Management Plan: Oversee the plan, ensure key controls, including systems update testing and support functions within the Vendor Management platform.

Spend Analysis: Analyze vendor and category spend; provide recommendations and data for decision-making; generate reports as needed.

Optimize Processes: Collaborate on procurement policies and workflows, implementing tools and technologies to improve efficiency and transparency.

Training and Documentation: Manage training, conduct user acceptance testing and documentation for Vendor Management modules.

Enterprise Risk Management: Interface with Category Managers and Senior Management to understand Enterprise Risk requirements and recommend improvements.

Mentoring and Coaching: Mentor Procurement Analysts on procurement strategies, contract management, e-procurement platform, vendor management and procure to pay processes. Serve as a backup to Category Sourcing Manager(s).

What you'll need

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, Technology, or Accounting.
  • 5-7 years' experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in the public sector.
  • Experience with IT commodities: IT Infrastructure, IT security, IT Software, ERP systems, Risk & Assurance, or Gaming/Lottery.
  • Must be 19 years of age or older to apply.
  • Must reside in Atlantic Canada.

Professional Skills:

  • Advanced MS Office; experience with SharePoint, ServiceNow, and ERP systems (preferably Oracle).
  • Analyze pricing; create reports to improve efficiency and decision-making.
  • Strong influencing, and relationship management skills; communicate complex concepts.
  • Build exceptional client experiences; demonstrate creativity and continuous improvement.
  • Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Assets:

  • Designation in public procurement
  • Vendor Performance Monitoring
  • ServiceNow Modules: Third Party Risk and Performance Management
  • Biddingo experience or another electronic sourcing platform
  • Relevant IT Category experience
  • Previous work experience in technology, including IT expiry and renewal quoting directly with suppliers or resellers.
