Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, IT Controls, the Senior Identity and Access Management (Senior IAM) Analyst's role is to ensure appropriate access to technology resources. Information Technology covers a wide range of responsibilities at Butterfield including oversight of the Bank's entire technology infrastructure, software development and maintenance to facilitate online product development and efficiencies, as well as management of the website and intranet platforms. IT also plays a critical role in ensuring the Bank's systems are kept safe and secure from cyber criminals.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

• Participating in the enforcement of policies, procedures and associated plans for system security administration and user system access based on industry-standard best practices.
• Assessing the need for IAM process improvement and updating of related controls.
• Performing IT risk assessment, design and implementation of IAM controls.
• Automating manual processes within the IT Controls functions.
• Executing provisioning/de-provisioning of users on the Bank's systems.
• Leading continuous monitoring of IAM controls and providing regular reporting.
• Monitoring user access to ensure that access granted and processes followed comply with documented processes.
• Liaising with audit functions (both internal and external) to provide evidence as requested.
• Working with various partners (Group Risk, CIO, IT Leadership, IT staff as well as business application sponsors and owners) to ensure IAM in place at the Bank is appropriate and adheres to industry standards.
• Executing an IAM governance program to ensure and enforce the adherence to standards set by governing bodies, audit, and the group security office, and participating in the improvement of that program.
• Providing expertise on the application of Group Policies, Governance Standards, and Security Best Practices as related to IAM for all members of the Group IT department.
• Advising Group IT staff on appropriate controls and processes to ensure appropriate adherence to the Request and Service Management processes.
• Advising and participating with other IT team members to ensure appropriate governance regarding IAM is included in all IT systems and processes.
• Assessing new IT services and products prior to deployment to ensure that appropriate IAM is in place and operational security requirements are met and functions adhere to security best practice and appropriate standards.
• Participating in the development of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery preparation and testing as related to IAM.
• Supporting audit and compliance requirements as it relates to identity and access management, executing User Access Review campaigns, reporting, and access control validations audit.
• Reviewing Business Process to identify potential IAM exposure.
• Assisting with the management of and provisioning for the Bank's PAM solutions.
• Assisting with management of the Bank's IT Risk Register.

What you'll need

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or five year's equivalent work experience, including three years of experience in IAM.
• Professional certification or designation in relevant IAM.
• Knowledge of information security management practices, framework and standards, specifically ITIL, COBIT, NIST, CIS and Cloud Security Alliance, etc.
• Knowledge of the Compliance process and standards such as GDPR, SOX, SSAE 16.
• Familiarity with leading IAM concepts such as Least Privilege, Privileged Access, Segregation of Duty (SOD), and Role Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to gain and maintain a good rapport with department managers and staff through consistent, reliable service delivery.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize effectively with a high degree of attention to detail.
• Excellent communications, documentation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
