We are seeking an experienced and motivated Geology Superintendent to lead geoscientific efforts on this flagship project.

Aurora Energy is currently seeking a Geology Superintendent.

The Opportunity

Accountable to the Exploration Manager, the Geology Superintendent for the Michelin Project will lead all geoscientific activities, from exploration to resource definition. You will develop exploration strategies, oversee geological mapping and data analysis, and contribute to resource estimation. The role involves mentoring a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and safety, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. You will also prepare technical reports, engage stakeholders, and use innovative tools and methods to enhance exploration models and outcomes.

Who You Are

As an ideal candidate, you will have expertise in uranium or similar mineral systems, strong proficiency with geological modeling software like Micromine and GIS tools such as ArcGIS, and a deep understanding of structural geology, geochemistry, geophysics, ore deposit models, and resource evaluation. You excel at leading and inspiring teams, have exceptional interpersonal skills, and are comfortable working in remote locations and traveling to field sites.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geology or Earth Sciences.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in mineral exploration, including leadership roles in similar projects.
  • Active registration as a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo).
