As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide leadership to the labour-force to ensure timely completion of all activities and deliverables during the various stages of multi-discipline projects. You are responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating construction projects of varying complexity according to schedule, specifications and budget.

The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, be skilled in mentoring and ready to lead projects with key clients. Candidates need strong negotiation, evaluation and organizational skills, combined with proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of CM training coupled with base building and renovations experience. This position is based out of Bedford, NS.

• Leads through the full project life cycle - Pre-Construction, Construction and Closeout.
• Oversees and provides input regarding all issues that require risk management
• Develops solutions to ensure issues never become problems
• Develops contingency plans to mitigate potential risks to projects
• Leads their teams in such a way to maximize the contributions of each team member
• Reviews (and fully understands) prime contract with Project Director and provides red line changes
• Provide detailed contractual interpretations to team regarding prime contracts and subcontract agreements
• Experience managing projects in various construction delivery methods to include Design Build, Construction Management at Risk, and Design + Bid + Build formats
• Make recommendations in project delivery method and contract award designation process
• Supervise and provide input on methods to manage Owner furnished material or work
• Ability to recognize project issues and timely acquire/coordinate company resources to support project as required
• Supervises project team's overall administration and technical direction to single or multiple projects simultaneously
• Exhibits strong commitment to customer service, both internal and external in fulfillment of Sour client's core values.
• Proactively manage the time management of the projects through updated master schedules Look Ahead Schedules.
• Ensure field managers/staff are adhering to the our safety programs
• Holds team members accountable during all aspects of the project
• Full understanding of design process and able to provide quality control review of plans/specifications
• Ensures project team is performing all tasks in a streamlined fashion and makes adjustments as necessary
• Directs, guides, assists, plans and supports the design team as required
• Ensures prime and trade contractor contractual requirements are met prior to performing work
• Provide prompt and accurate reporting of all required cost, change, and time management

Applicants require a minimum of 7 - 10 years' project management experience on medium to large commercial construction projects. Familiarity with Jonas Management software would be beneficial. Gold Seal and/or LEED® certification would be considered assets.

The ability to invest the total hours required to deliver projects is a must, as is periodic travel throughout the Atlantic Provinces. All candidates will be required to promote and maintain the rcs safety program "Safety First & Always" at all times.

• You are an experienced Construction Project Manager who is task oriented and has exceptional attention to detail
• You have 7 to 10+ years of related work experience as a Project Manager
• You have excellent organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize competing priorities
• You are self-directed, results oriented and a strong "loop-closer"
• You adapt and thrive in a constantly changing environment
• You have a post secondary qualification in construction management or equivalent
• You are a positive, energetic individual who will jump in and help when needed
