Under the supervision of the Chairperson, Department of Psychology, the Secretary II serves as the main point of contact for students, faculty, staff and general public who communicate with the Psychology Department. The Secretary II provides administrative support to maintain effective internal and external communication for the Department.

The Secretary II works out of the Psychology Department and reports to the Chairperson, Department of Psychology.

This position is considered a maternity leave contract and salary range is $33,283 - $38,202 + 4% in lieu of vacation.

Qualifications

To be the Secretary II, you will have completed High School plus a one (1) year Community College business program and you will possess a minimum of one (1) year directly related experience. The successful candidate should have strong communication and listening skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to function independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, demonstrated ability to work under pressure and ability to handle and maintain confidential material will round out your qualifications for this position. Assets for this position include working in university environment, experience with SCT Banner and website maintenance experience.
