Events East Group is now inviting applications for Box Office Customer Service Representative, Casual with our Box Office team.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Box Office Customer Service Representatives sell event tickets for live sporting events, exciting concerts and other spectacular events coming to Nova Scotia. The position is accountable for selling event tickets to patrons for the Scotiabank Centre or other sites when required. The box office is the front-line contact and sometimes the only contact between the venues and their patrons. This impression is one which must be positive in all aspects as it is a lasting impression. Thus, the box office representative must provide the public with helpful and efficient service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent customer service to all patrons, promoters, as well as other Events East Group employees, face to face and over the phone.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the operations of the box office including online account management and access management, as well as the services and features of Scotiabank Centre.
- Use computerized ticketing system to manage ticketing needs of all patrons and business needs.
- Sell event tickets for differing types of shows at Scotiabank Centre or other sites when required.
- Process cash and credit card sales efficiently and completely.
- Balance report and deposits at the end of each shift.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality in handling customer information and database.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- 1+ years of front-line customer service experience.
- French is an asset.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends as shifts hours depend on event activity.

Events East
We manage and operate the Halifax Convention Centre, Scotiabank Centre and Ticket Atlantic. Created as part of a government partnership between the Province of Nova Scotia and Halifax Regional Municipality, we work in collaboration with them to manage our business in a responsible and transparent manner.
We were established in 2014 through legislation to operate, maintain and manage the activities of the Halifax Convention Centre in a manner that will promote and develop economic development, tourism and industry in the Province generally, and the Municipality.
Effective April 1, 2017, our mandate expanded to include the continued management and operations of Scotiabank Centre and Ticket Atlantic, formerly under Trade Centre Limited (TCL).
