The Opportunity
The principal accountabilities of the Sales Analyst are to support the national sales team with timely and accurate analytical information providing insights and sales automation to drive volume and distribution in all markets. This role's focus is on supporting the sales department at the regional and territory level, providing a wide range of sales operation services and interdepartmental collaboration. This role functions within the Sales Operations Department, which acts as the central hub to support the operations of the Commercial Team.
A successful candidate is someone who has an enthusiasm and interest in sales, strong passion for analytics, thrives in a collaborative team environment, actionable, and is motivated by any challenge put in front of you. The Sales Analyst will report directly to the Sales Support Manager and can be based either at our brewery in Saint John, NB or remote.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Sales Analyst
- Assist in the planning of annual sales territory targets, forecasting and other sales reporting data as required.
- Generate and distribute a variety of periodic and adhoc reports, including but not limited to regional sales performance, executive reports, and weekly sales KPI reports.
- Anticipate and analyze the need for new reporting structures, develop, adapt, and maintain business analysis tools to allow management to maintain a consistent sales structure.
- Provide monthly and ad hoc sales and financial analysis as required.
- Build yearly reporting tools to support sales KPI measurement
- Assist with Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Rolling Forecast processes and Period Reports.
- Determine area's of opportunity with sales regions and territories to help drive the business
- Sales Automation and improvements to existing tools and applications (Reporting, CRM)
- Builds and maintains computer files.
Communication, Analysis and Research
- Assists with communication to customers and internal communication to sales staff.
- Analyze data to provide selling insights when relevant and share with Sales Management.
- Collect, analyze, and report data to various department heads.
- Prepares reports, data, and research for presentations.
- Provide support and training on using reporting applications to regional sales personnel.
Administration
- Assists with the development and preparation of sales presentations.
- Develops and maintains monthly sales reports, tools and other reports as required.
- Other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by management.

Required Knowledge, Skill & Abilities:
- Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision are essential.
- Has a good understanding on the sales process
- Intuitive and able to anticipate potential problems
- Exceptional mathematics and sales data analysis with attention to details
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Team player and capable of thinking outside the box.
- Detail oriented and able to accurately proofread sales data.
- Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
- Ability to make sound, timely, and accurate judgment while supporting reasoning for decisions.
- Excellent writing skills including proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Professional, responsive, and a positive work attitude.
- Strong ownership and accountability
- Resourceful, flexible, and well organized.
- Strong verbal skills and the ability to communicate professionally.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with CRM systems considered an asset.
Education and Experience:
- Customer focus: Sales analysis or Sales Program experience, preferably within food and beverage industry. Demonstrate commitment to excellent customer relationships required.
- Communication: Ability to effectively communicate complex matters in simple understood terms, both verbally and in writing; has strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Technical: Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems related to automated systems and operations required; must have advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency. Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience required.
