Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week
Salary Range: $58,098- $79,182 per annum
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment & Compensation, the Recruitment & Employee Experience Specialist will work collaboratively within a high performing, client focused, innovative team. This position will be involved in the creation, development and implementation of strategic recruitment and engagement initiatives at the University.
- Provide ongoing support and coaching to assist managers and supervisors with recruitment and employment matters.
- Provide consultative services and support to clients on all aspects of the recruitment process including selection, assessment, interview packages, referencing, pre-employment checks., and offers.
- Collaborate and provide input on improved or innovative recruitment strategies to ensure the university is positioned to access skilled and qualified talent pools for immediate and long-term staffing needs.
- Conduct needs assessment, diagnose, provide feedback to clients; develop, implement, and evaluate interventions that connect employees and managers with departmental and organization goals.
- Collaborate across multiple teams to ensure timely, high-quality, standardized, and consistent documentation.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements such as employment and recruitment.
- Participate in business process mapping exercises and implement solutions to streamline and increase our operations efficiency including metrics reporting.
- Responsible for approval of all documents related to staff transactions including job posting paperwork, employment offers, salary changes, reclassifications, new hires, extensions, etc.
- Ensure all paperwork and documents adhere to UNB policy and procedures.
- Research and maintain current knowledge of key recruitment issues/trends and best practice business solutions from a variety of sources and makes recommendations accordingly.
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING
- A post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Arts or a related field.
- Proven experience in recruiting in a multi-level, multi-union environment, and a minimum three years' experience in a human resources role, advisor, generalist, or specialist role with focus on recruitment and selection.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

- CPHR designation is considered an asset.
- Strong ability to collaborate and develop relationships of trust at all the levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and be able to balance a high number of tasks and projects within tight timeframes while maximizing administrative efficiencies.
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgement, tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- High attention to detail to collect, document and record information that initiates employee lifecycle changes accurately while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Analytical skills to review processes and procedures and recommend changes to improve HR related workflow.
- Familiarity with job classification is an asset or willingness to learn.
- Strong computer and database management skills.
- High level of personal integrity and confidentiality.
