The Registrar’s Office at Mount Saint Vincent University invites applications for the position of Records Assistant.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

The Registrar’s Office houses Admissions, Registration, Systems, and Financial Aid. The Records Assistant provides administrative and data validation support to the Admissions and Registration team and assists students in understanding policies and procedures associated with the admissions/registration process.

  • Responds to student inquiries via email, phone, in person or other modes of social media.
  • Provides service at the service counter, including registrations, letter and transcript production, and waitlist management. Provides accurate information on academic policy and procedures.
  • Maintains all admissions and registration scanning and email transactions.
  • Assists in areas within the Registrar’s Office with data entry including, but not limited to, student registrations, reactivations, visiting student information, name and address changes, application and “loose document” entry.
  • Provides support for special events.

What you'll need

Qualifications

A 2-year Community College diploma in Office Administration or similar program complemented by 1 year of experience in a similar administrative setting is required. Strong communication and inter-personal skills are essential. A high level of attention to detail while handling frequent interruptions is also a prerequisite in this position. Efficient time management and priority setting skills are also required. Supporting all of these skills is a strong commitment to excellent customer services. Candidates should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, and previous experience, using business enterprise systems such as Colleague, Banner, PeopleSoft, etc.

Classification: Full-Time - NSGEU, Level 5
Starting Salary: $32,644 per annum
Start Date: ASAP
