NBCC is currently seeking dynamic and competent individual for the position of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Coordinator.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Data Project Manager, the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Coordinator provides academic and RPL advising, which includes guiding, educating and supporting a diverse client population (prospects, applicants, and enrolled students). This includes the evaluation of prior learning requests and partnership development with subject matter experts. This role provides RPL advising which includes collaboration, coordination, implementation and promotion of quality RPL strategies, initiatives and best practices.

The successful incumbent will demonstrate experience communicating in a cross-culturally sensitive manner with people from diverse group; well-developed written, verbal and presentation skills, Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize duties to ensure deadlines are met; demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this opportunity include a Diploma in a related field of study and a minimum of five (5) years of recent and related work experience; OR a Degree in a related field of study (Psychology, Human Services and/or Adult Education) with a minimum of three (3) years of recent and related work experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Related work experience must include a sound understanding of curriculum outcomes in order to assess prior learning requests. Experience with RPL advising, portfolio development, flexible assessment practices, including best practices and knowledge of transfer credit will be considered as an asset.

Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes. Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes a competitive bi-weekly salary for this position ranging from $2,130 to $2,634 biweekly. This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees (Education-Non-Instructional) collective agreement for the College.
