The Opportunity
We are looking for a Receiver to work the day shift (Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:15pm). The shift is subject to change based on operational requirements.
Some key responsibilities of this position will be:
- Receiving material from delivery trucks with forklift dropping it at holding area
- Getting paperwork from truck driver and checking received stock to see if it matches; stamp it as subject to recount & subject to concealed damage
- Inspecting and counting received material thoroughly to ensure quality and number of pieces match shipping bill and receiving them electronically with scanner
- Comunicating to receiving coordinator any discrepancies between packing slip and physical inventory of load
- Performing all other duties assigned by receiving coordinator or distribution manager
The ideal candidate must be able to:
- Follow oral and written instructions
- Follow safe work practices
- Be able to work as a team communicate clearly with others
- Be able to lift loads of up to 50lbs
- Be able to work with minimal supervision
*Previous experience as lift truck operator/warehouse worker, would be an asset
