Do you have great attention to detail, do you love to create processes, are you a problem-solver, do you like to review and own current processes with a focus on Continuous Improvement, do you have great verbal and written communication skills that can help you to lead the way when it comes to discussing Quality and internal procedures? We're looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. You will have had some experience within Quality in an ISO regulated environment (ISO9001).

This role will be part of a team that are each responsible for:

Maintaining Quality management system registration to ISO 9001 and Quality Manual requirements

Maintaining certification to D-01-05 and CWPCP Quality Plan

Supporting Nova Scotia Ministry of environment approval

New product introduction planning and deliverables

Product quality meets internal and customer objectives.

Internal QMS processes to meet target objectives.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

To succeed in this role, previous experience in a Quality Engineering/Specialist role in manufacturing is required. The successful candidate can look forward to a variety of challenges including:

Leading failure analysis and root cause investigation (internal and external), as well as corrective and preventative actions;

Leading and managing the equipment calibration process including management of calibration of suppliers;

Performing calibration of in-house equipment;

Maintaining records, analysis of pertinent data and reporting on trends;

Interaction and coordination at all levels, and across all functions;

Maintenance of Nautel ISO9001 registration by supporting day to day use of policies, procedures, methods and activities;

Use of internal tools for reporting, analysis and record-keeping.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Minimum of two years' experience in a Quality role within a manufacturing environment, including development of written documentation and procedural documentation;

Proven problem-solving skills are essential;

Technical understanding of metrology, electronics/mechanical assembly and special processes;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Experience in analysis, reports, audits and investigations;

Ability to work across all functions in a hands-on capacity;

Ability to work well within a team, as well as independently;

Strong & creative problem solving and analytical skills;

Must have experience with ISO9001 quality systems;

Experience or familiarity with MRP systems, Continuous Improvement techniques, calibration and configuration management;

Strong Microsoft Office skills;

Project management and planning skills;

Candidates will hold a Technology qualification or Engineering degree; and have either a CQE Quality designation; and/or six sigma accreditations.
