We are currently seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to join our team at MACC. The ideal candidate should be able to work outdoors, have a mechanical aptitude, and possess a 'jack of all trades' skill set. If you have a passion for landscaping, maintenance, and snow removal, we would love to hear from you.
Objective: - to work closely with property and facilities management team to oversee the maintenance and repair operations of our commercial and residential properties
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the property management team on developing and implement maintenance policies and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of commercial properties.
- Plan and oversee scheduled maintenance and inspections of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire plan, and structural elements.
- Manage and coordinate maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to complete repair and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and building codes.
- Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, including the procurement of supplies and equipment. Manage the implementation of energy-efficient practices and sustainability initiatives.
- On a call list for monitoring of fire alarms and burglaries.
- Perform small repairs such as windows, doors, plumbing and flooring, etc. - Painting and carpentry duties
- Respond to emergency situations as required
- Maintain the attractive appearance and appealing atmosphere of the building
- Develop and maintain good relationships with contractors, vendors, and site workers to obtain the best quotes on property repairs, supplies and maintenance.
- Ensure properties are safe and avoid any danger to tenants and visitors.
- Lawn care and snow removal duties.
- General labour duties as assigned.
