We are currently seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to join our team at MACC. The ideal candidate should be able to work outdoors, have a mechanical aptitude, and possess a 'jack of all trades' skill set. If you have a passion for landscaping, maintenance, and snow removal, we would love to hear from you.

Objective: - to work closely with property and facilities management team to oversee the maintenance and repair operations of our commercial and residential properties

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the property management team on developing and implement maintenance policies and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of commercial properties.
  • Plan and oversee scheduled maintenance and inspections of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire plan, and structural elements.
  • Manage and coordinate maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to complete repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and building codes.
  • Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, including the procurement of supplies and equipment. Manage the implementation of energy-efficient practices and sustainability initiatives.
  • On a call list for monitoring of fire alarms and burglaries.
  • Perform small repairs such as windows, doors, plumbing and flooring, etc. - Painting and carpentry duties
  • Respond to emergency situations as required
  • Maintain the attractive appearance and appealing atmosphere of the building
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with contractors, vendors, and site workers to obtain the best quotes on property repairs, supplies and maintenance.
  • Ensure properties are safe and avoid any danger to tenants and visitors.
  • Lawn care and snow removal duties.
  • General labour duties as assigned.
