Port Saint John is part of the critical transportation infrastructure of Canada and a cornerstone of the New Brunswick economy. Currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Project Support Specialist & Document Controller. Reporting to the Port Engineer, the Project Support Specialist & Document Controller will complete the following tasks and duties in a professional and confidential manner.

Responsibilities
Your Focus:
- Assist in the preparation of quotes, RFP's, Service Agreements, tenders, specifications and contracts.
- Produce Various Reports, agendas, minutes, correspondence, contractor payments, and maintain databases.
- Responsible for Government Reimbursement Program documentation.
- Prepare Service Agreements & correspondence for RFP's.
- Prepare Progress Payments for all contracts.
- Maintain filing systems/databases.
- Provide Administrative Support to the Engineer department.
- Assist in the management of construction supervision and contract management of all capital works and major infrastructure projects, including construction activity with terminal operators.
- Project/Contract management.
- Assist in preparation of tenders, budgets, estimates, for internal approval (Port Engineer or Senior Management).
- Review of all submittals received from contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and contracts.
- Review of progress payments and manage project budget.
- Provide assistance in establishing and maintaining the Port's Asset Management Plan.
- Provide support in the management of the electronic document control plan.
- Preparation of project permit applications, contract drawings, and specifications.
- Specifying and preparing tender, contract documents and drawings.
- Management and administration of department projects and compliance standards.
What you'll need
Qualifications
You Have:
- Post-secondary diploma in business administration or related field
- 3+ years of experience with contract administrative support, project management, and documentation coordination
