We’re looking for a Project Manager to join our Administrative department who is enthusiastic about collaborating with all of our teams. Curious and analytical, the Project Manager is passionate about finding new and innovative ways to ensure teams are achieving their goals, without compromising the highest level of service. They leverage their ability to solve problems and bring forward new ideas.

Responsibilities

The day-to-day of a Project Manager at UFred:

The Project Manager, reporting directly to the VP of Operations, brings with them experience in project coordination and excels at guiding partners and stakeholders towards meeting both individual and team project goals. Responsible for working with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality results, they also work to ensure the most effective project management techniques are utilized to achieve exemplary outcomes. A UFred Project Manager is a collaborator, actively networking and researching ways to best serve our internal and external stakeholders, and has experience implementing a project management structure within an organization.

As a Project Manager, you can expect to:

  • Facilitate project meetings
  • Create project schedules and detailed work plans
  • Monitor the needs of projects including the budgets, provide updates, and assist project sponsors as needed
  • Track the progress and quality of work being performed at all levels within the organization
  • Conduct risk assessments
  • Evaluate the outcomes of projects in order to present findings and feedback for future projects
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with cross-functional groups
  • Communicate pertinent project details, both technical and non-technical to all interested parties and escalate issues that threaten project goals and timelines to the proper representative for resolution

What you'll need

Qualifications

Some of the things we’re looking for in a Project Manager include:

  • Relevant post-secondary education preferably in Management, Business or Information Technology; PMP Certification is an asset
  • A minimum of five years of project management experience
  • Strong project management and leadership skills, with the demonstrated ability to implement and evaluate content, and meet deadlines within budget
  • Ability to work independently and the ability to self-direct daily activities is essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a team player and a relationship builder
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, decision-making and dispute resolution skills
  • Experience working with a wide range of external customers and vendors is considered an asset
  • A highly motivated and very proactive individual with demonstrated capability to effectively deliver multiple simultaneous large scale projects with tight deadlines
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or TaskRay is an asset

This position requires the ability to manage multiple projects without compromising stakeholder standards. The ideal candidate has a background in education, project management, or instructional design.

Hours of Work
This is a full-time position (35 hours a week) position, operating under regular business hours: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. This position is available in Fredericton, NB.
