Assumption Life is looking for a qualified individual as a Project Manager/Scrum Master in the the IT department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and ensuring the execution activities of projects, according to the planned schedule, including design, validation and follow-up with participants.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Track delivery, installation and release activities to ensure logical progression of activities and not impact other deliverables/dates.
  • Track project budget and scope of work and initiate approval process and funding allocation requests if there are any deviations from the original plan.
  • Execute project close-out and prepare post-mortem reports to determine the extent of success ROI, lessons learned and conclude documentation.
  • Establish an execution plan and timeline for each project and perform goal assessment to ensure a clear understanding of the deliverable.
  • Attempt to anticipate potential failure points and identify proactive solutions to maintain schedules. Resource planning towards project completion in coordination with managers and business lines.
  • Ensure progress through motivation or turnaround conversations.
  • Establish and maintain a climate of trust with suppliers while protecting the company's business relationships with them. Interact with multiple areas within the Company and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
  • Facilitate meetings and presentations to all types of audiences (e.g., executive management, customers, technical staff).
  • Ability to tailor communication and information to different business units.

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • College or university degree in computer science or administration, with knowledge of computerized systems
  • Over seven years of experience in a project management, Scrum Master or related field;
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. (French and English)
  • In-depth knowledge of computer project management.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced changes.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills and analytical skills to maintain accurate information and be aware of details that may affect delivery dates.
  • Excellent anticipation and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project and Visio (intermediate level) for document development, development and maintenance of task progress.
  • Responsible for major changes to project direction, budget, schedule and content.
  • Build and maintain trust with vendors while protecting the company's business relationships with them.
  • Facilitate meetings and presentations to all types of audiences (e.g., senior management, customers, technical staff).
