Newco Construction is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator based in our Moncton office. If you're an organized and reliable self-starter who's eager to learn, this may be the job for you.

Working cooperatively with our Project Managers and Site Superintendents, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for document control and information flow, across Newco's multiple construction projects.

In addition to overseeing technical and clerical duties, the Project Coordinator will assist Project Managers in planning, scheduling, directing, monitoring, and controlling all on-site activities to achieve project objectives & timelines.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, clerical and scheduling support to Project Managers
  • Assemble, attend and document project meetings
  • Ensure consistent communications with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients
  • Oversee subcontracts and ensure key information is promptly updated and distributed to team members
  • Prepare tenders and coordinate activities to ensure efficient site operations
  • Maintain shop drawings, RFIs, material purchase orders, change notice quotes, and all additional project documents
  • Effectively review, interpret and update construction schedules
  • Analyze schedule data and variances to identify project issues
  • Develop & implement methods to improve on project budgets and due dates
  • Assist with estimating duties as required

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline
  • 1-3 years experience in the construction industry
    • Estimating experience considered an asset
  • Exceptional communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
    • Verbal and written bilingualism considered an asset
  • Excellent computer skills
    • AutoCAD experience considered an asset
  • Proven organizational, decision making, and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
  • A keen attention to detail
  • Valid class 5 license and willingness to travel to job sites
  • Strong knowledge of construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, quality and cost control
