NBCC is currently seeking a dynamic and competent individual for the position of Project Coordinator. This is a two-year term position, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

Reporting to a Provincial Advisory Committee, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and coordinating pilot projects with established Centers of Excellence demonstration sites in the four Anglophone School Districts.

The Coordinator's key responsibilities include ensuring that the roles and responsibilities associated with the Centres of Excellence demonstration sites are executed and documented (with implementation of the ECE Action plan and objectives tied to the ECE Framework, in conjunction with all Anglophone ECE Centres in the province). The Coordinator will support community-based activities tied to the Early Learning and Child Care Action plan, including preparation for and organization of local community engagement meetings. The position will execute project related oversight tied to community based projects, and help create a community-based operational approach to continuance of the work at the local engagement level to ensure sustainability once the ECE project is complete.

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this opportunity include a Diploma in a related education discipline, with a minimum of three five (5) years of recent and related work experience, OR a university Degree in education or a related field with a minimum of three (3) years of recent and related work experience. Related work experience must include demonstrated responsibility in coordinating complex, or multi-faceted projects or initiatives, along with demonstrated effectiveness in communication skills including presenting to public audiences and crafting clear and compelling written work. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

The successful candidate will demonstrate problem solving, collaboration, communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to work well with diverse teams.

Preference may be given to candidates who have demonstrated early childhood education training and have the NB Curriculum Framework for Early Learning and Child Care Certificate.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
