Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to the Deputy Director of MEKTU, the Program Evaluator works closely with the project proponents and their partners and is responsible for the evaluation of initiatives, as well as monitoring and reporting on their deployment and outcomes.

  • Analyze statistics and evaluate findings. Prepare evaluation and monitoring reports for the Aging Secretariat.
  • Conduct extensive interviews to obtain information on the status of applied research projects.
  • Advise and guide project proponents on challenges or issues arising.
  • Provide feedback on progress against intended objectives.
  • Develop project evaluation plans in collaboration with personnel from New Brunswick government departments.
  • Provide in-depth assessments of community project evaluation plans.
  • Advise project proponents of requirements to ensure their evaluation plans meet established standards.
  • Develop unit evaluation plan in discussion with the Associate Director.
  • Develop evaluation frameworks, reports, and data collection tools.
  • Interpret and present monitoring and evaluation results to government officials and external stakeholders.
  • Provide advice to the Associate Director on evaluation activities.
  • Prepare and deliver training workshops to project proponents on the evaluation framework and reporting guidelines.
  • Represent the unit on external committees.
  • Other duties as required. 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A Master's Degree in Social Sciences, Public/ Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • A comparable combination of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Strengths

  • Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset and will be given preference.
  • Experience in program evaluation and in preparing and analyzing progress reports required.
  • Experience in project management would be an asset.
  • Analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, apply standards and meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office and other software packages.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to deal with a wide variety of people in a professional manner.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering presentations to groups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
