We are currently seeking a self-motivated, driven Pricing Analyst to join our pricing team. The selected candidate will be responsible for completing analysis for the company's pricing to ensure accuracy, profitability, and competitiveness, as well as provide market trends and research to support the company's pricing strategy. In addition, provide accurate pricing lists/data to customers and sales representatives, as well as maintain and update databases.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
· Assist and provide input to the Director of Pricing Strategy and Analytics in the development and direction of the company's pricing strategy
· Analyze current pricing information, provide general pricing data and statistical analysis to support pricing strategy
· Analyze new sales opportunities to ensure they are profitable and competitive
· Provide recommendations on price changes to existing operational pricing structure based on analysis, research, and feedback from the field in order to maximize profitability
· Maintain and manage pricing system
· Collect and maintain competitive intelligence
· Prepare profitability analysis and provide recommendations on profit improvement initiatives
· Perform make vs. buy, return on investment, and other analysis
What you'll need
Qualifications
· Minimum two years' experience in pricing/financial analytics or related Finance department is preferred
· Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Accounting, or Finance) is preferred
· Obtained or pursuing CPA or MBA designation would be an asset.
· Preference will be given to those who have an entrepreneurial spirit and who are motivated by innovation and process/profit improvement initiatives
· Able to work within a team environment and various internal departments
· Demonstrated analytical skills and able to work well with numbers
· Proficient in Excel and database programs
· Strong communication skills written and oral
· Attention to detail is required
· Work with minimal supervision
· Must be organized and able to prioritize work
