We are currently seeking an experienced People & Communications Coordinator to join our team in St. John's, NL.

What You Will Do
Reporting to the Group VP, People and Communications, the successful candidate will play an important role in the daily execution of a variety of People and Communication's processes and programs. You will support the successful recruitment, selection and onboarding of new employees to Crosbie Group by leading interviews, scheduling and reviewing competency assessments, performing background checks, issuing employment contracts and participating in the orientation process. You will also be responsible for assisting in the development, coordination and execution of employee relations and engagement opportunities and events, as well as utilizing various media to prepare creative internal communications to support company initiatives and communications strategies.

Using your innovative and solutions-oriented mindset, you will work with the People and Communications team responding to People related inquiries and administering processes and programs, including maintenance of HR files and online documentation, in an organized and efficient manner.

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Communications or a related discipline;
  • 3-5 years' experience in a Human Resources, Communications or related role;
  • Experience in unionized environments would be an asset;
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills; strengths in creative writing styles would be valuable;
  • Established proficiency with technology, digital communication, social media and/or desktop publishing;
  • Proven time management skills and an ability to prioritize and effectively manage conflicting demands in a fast-paced environment;
  • Demonstrated results-oriented, service delivery mind-set; and
  • Proven ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment.
