The Opportunity

Our Pension Administration teams is looking for a someone who has a keen ability to lead and build teams, and who has a strong background in client care excellence for the role of Pension Administration Manager. Reporting to the Director of Pension Administration, the successful candidate will use their leadership skills to provide coaching and guidance to team members and provide oversight for all pension related activities.

Your key activities will include:

  • Provide coaching and guidance to members of the Pension Administration team.
  • Evaluate the performance of team members and complete the annual review for each individual.
  • Identify knowledge gaps within the team and recommend a plan to address those gaps
  • Recommend efficiencies, enhancements, and resource requirements to the Director of Pension Administration.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Privacy Principles and legislation.
  • Ensure that all process documents are up to date and accurate, ensuring changes are made as needed.
  • Oversee the accuracy of benefit payments and pension records.
  • Define customer needs & expectations & develop action plan to address.
  • Liaise with other pension plan sponsors and administrators, external lawyers, consultants, actuaries, and auditors.
  • Define appropriate KPI's and utilize visual management systems to measure progress against Corporate and personal Objectives.
  • Develop, implement and measure workflow management systems, member self-service and pension calculation tools, procedures, and internal standards and controls.

What you'll bring to the role

  • The completion of a college or university related program, supplemented by 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Prior experience working with pension administration, related provincial legislation, or other experience in financial services would be considered an asset.
  • An eagerness to learn new technology.
  • You are a self-starter, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a high degree of accountability.

Salary Range: $94,700 - $132,700
