The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for handling a variety of tasks to provide support for the Payroll Team. Some of the responsibilities will be Keying and auditing of payroll entries, Processing incoming paperwork in the HRIS, Completing ROEs as required, Timecard auditing and verification of contract, along with other administrative duties. Work in this role will take place 3 to 4 days per week during key business hours, typically the hours of work will be up to 35 hours per week however they may vary from week to week.

What you'll need

Qualifications

As a qualified candidate, you will have:

  • A Business certificate or Diploma in a related discipline
  • 1 to 3 years' of experience working in a payroll environment
  • Strong computer literacy in standard MS Office with advanced proficiency with Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, and work with a high degree of accuracy

As an ideal candidate you will also have:

  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification, or actively working towards
  • Experience working with ADP (people@work, pay@work, ezlabor)
  • Basic payroll knowledge including general understanding of NS legislation affecting payroll and ROE's
  • Experience executing multi-site payroll, ideally in a blended union/non-union environment
