Pine Grove Nursing Home is a 70-bed licensed facility nestled on the bank of New Brunswick's beautiful Saint John River. We have been caring for aging adults since 1983 and have built a strong reputation for providing a comfortable and peaceful setting for our residents. Our mission is to provide for each resident the best quality of life and care in a home-like setting.
As the Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the nursing home, including data management, budget planning, office organization, meeting scheduling, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. You will also support the leadership team and the staff in delivering high-quality services to our residents and their families. Most Importantly, you are the heart of the facility and your contributions will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect by instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, setting and attaining facility wide goals, creative problem solving and overseeing all aspects of facility operation. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.
Compensation & Benefits:
- This is a full-time position with a salary range of between $107,000 to 132,385 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- Pine Grove has contracted, compulsory benefits with New Brunswick Association of Nursing Homes such as pension, medical/dental, and LTD.1
- 12 paid statutory holidays, 18 annual sick days, and 3-5 weeks paid vacation.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Report to and work with the Board of Directors on the management and strategic direction of the Nursing Home, in accordance with the mission, bylaws, policies, and regulations. Additionally, report regularly on progress, operations, achievements and concerns relevant to Board established goals.
- Participate in and or coordinate the implementation and evaluation of new provincial association initiatives.
- Maintain provincial licensure and compliance for the Home and ensure the quality and safety of resident care services.
- Manage the financial resources and investments of the Home to maintain operations in accordance with the approved financial plan and cashflow.
- In collaboration with the Board, lead an annual strategic planning process to update strategic priorities and goals as set out in the Pine Grove strategic plan.
- Make recommendations to the Board on renovations and or additions for the home.
- Manage the human resources of the Home, including overseeing and supporting risk management, hiring, evaluation, promotion, and termination of employees, and provide orientation and education opportunities to develop skills and competencies.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate relationships with residents, families, community, agencies, government, and health care practitioners.
- Effectively resolve complaints in a timely manner.
- Participate on the Pine Grove Foundation Board as a non-voting member and liaise with external stakeholders.
- Participate in the annual inspection process and develop and implement action plans to address areas of improvement.
What you'll need
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with courses in administration and/or health care.
- Five years of managerial experience, including two years of staff supervision.
- Ability to navigate excellent communication at all stakeholder levels, both internally and externally
- Bilingualism, in both French and English is considered an asset.
