The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment and be interested in contributing to the direction of future Kraken products.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate and execute Kraken's marketing activities including advertising campaigns, industry exhibitions/conferences and social media activity (YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Plan and execute a post analysis on all marketing activities and report findings
• Work with Kraken's sales department to prepare and maintain sales tools including product brochures, sales presentations, demonstrations, evaluation materials, white papers, web content, etc.
• Prepare, proofread, and distribute press releases, coordinate media interviews, submit articles for publication and write & submit award applications
• Maintain and update website including copy, graphics, and video.
• Create and manage an annual marketing budget including all advertising and exhibition activities
• Coordinate launch of new products/capabilities to the market
• Develop and build upon relationships with government and industry organizations
What you'll need
Qualifications
• 3+ years Marketing experience, preferably in a Technology or Ocean Technology field
• Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or equivalent experience is desirable
• Experience developing and executing marketing plans, campaigns and strategies and the ability to effectively measure results
• Knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in online marketing, advertising and industry exhibitions
• Lead the development of Kraken's brand strategy and vision. Ensure all communication, sales and marketing materials are consistent with the Kraken brand
• Experience with Media relations
• Strong written and oral communications skills and an incredible attention to detail
• A self starter who can work independently to meet deadlines
• Familiarity with software packages such as Adobe InDesign/Photoshop, WordPress, Canto etc would be considered an asset
