SimpTek is seeking a Marketing and Sales Coordinator to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in helping the SimpTek team deliver on its objectives in four key areas:
(1) Advance sales and marketing pipeline opportunities
(2) Develop content within marketing and sales pipelines
(2) Support customer success and renewals
(3) Communicate and engage customers and prospects in the company?s value proposition
We are looking for a recent grad who thrives on the urgency of startups, is able to ask challenging questions to people you've met only by phone and is eager to learn and evolve as the job demands. You will have to be able to pitch and convert features & benefits into customer-focused business value. We?re looking for someone who can take ownership and if you think you have those qualifications, you might be a good fit to join our team!
What you'll do
- Assist the Cheif Business Development Officer with the day-to-day marketing and sales tasks, admin work and project management
- Develop content within the marketing and sales pipelines
- Drive the marketing and sales cycle to attain new business: make introductory calls, assess business goals through qualifying, and close the deal
- Record all activities in Hubspot CRM
- Create contact opportunities via telephone, email, and outbound cold calling
- Book appointments with prospective customers to present solutions
- Perform daily cold prospecting outreaches to build your own pipeline
- Build and clean targeting list/database
- Manage client data and communications
- Conduct project management to plan out sales and marketing team logistics or project logistics
What you'll need
- 1-2 years marketing or sales experience
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent in environmental science, communications, journalism and/or marketing
- A passion for sustainability, renewable energy, or energy efficiency an asset
- Hubspot Certifications and/or similar CRM experience is an asset
- Excellent writing, verbal and presentation skills
- Able to work independently with little supervision
