The Opportunity:

Port Saint John is part of the critical transportation infrastructure of Canada and a cornerstone of the New Brunswick economy. Port Saint John is Atlantic Canada's largest port by volume and has a diverse cargo base, handling 30 million metric tonnes of cargo annually, including dry and liquid bulks, break bulk, containers, and cruise.

Port Saint John is seeking a qualified individual for a 4-month contract position of Market Analyst. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Innovation, the Market Analyst will complete the following tasks and duties in a professional and confidential manner.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Your Focus:

  • Complete an import and export analysis of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island businesses.
  • Directly contacting businesses in each province via telephone.
  • Create a database and final report of findings.

What you'll need

Qualifications

You Have:

  • Experience reporting findings of research and analysis.
  • Some related experience in the transportation and/or logistics industry.
  • Experience & knowledge using MS Suite.

You Are:

  • Currently enrolled or completion of a business or supply chain related post-secondary program.
  • Extremely detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication in English.
  • An independent individual with the ability to work with minimal direction.
