Position:  Manager, Sobey Graduate Enrolment (Two Year Contract)

Department: Sobey School of Business

Annual Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 + 4% in lieu of vacation

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Duties as the Manager Sobey Graduate Enrolment, Sobey Graduate Programs include, but are not limited to:

  • Receiving and reviewing files for completion and accuracy.
  • Sends out interview questions, reviews the responses and completes the interview assessment.
  • Reviews each accepted applicant for scholarships and makes recommendation.
  • Develops best practices for admissions policy and procedures.
  • Works with Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research to ensure admission applications are delivered and completed
  • Keeps current on standards related to domestic and international graduate admission regulations.
  • Communicates regularly with applicants during the process.
  • Develops relationships with external parties for the improvement of graduate admissions process and enrolment management goals.
  • Participating in the creation of an annual domestic recruitment plan.
  • Represents the Sobey School of Business at Fairs and Events.
  • Participates in the development of a recruitment strategy.
  • Delivers webinars, information sessions to potential applicants.
  • Travels domestically and internationally for the purposes of recruitment and representing the Sobey School of Business.
  • Develops promotional materials, presentations and handouts for events.
  • Communicates with students and agents on policies, requirements, missing documents.
  • Liaises between Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research and the Service Centre on files, fees and deposits.
  • Calculates admission and enrolment statistics for enrolment management.
  • Complies data and reports for program coordinators, Deans, Director of Accreditation such as accepted students, academic profiles, average GMAT scores, etc.
  • Meets with students and provides advice and information for admissions.
  • Provides guidance to those not meeting minimum requirements.
  • Meets with Program Coordinators and Directors to provide information on policy/procedural changes to admissions.
  • Provides feedback to students.
  • Supervises Enrolment Officer.

What you'll need

Qualifications

To be the successful Manager Sobey Graduate Enrolment, Sobey Graduate Programs you will possess a graduate degree in Commerce, Business, Marketing or Education and a minimum five (5) years of recent and related experience. You demonstrate an ability to work with diverse groups in a cross-cultural environment along with a knowledge of recruitment practices and familiarity with recruitment technology. Strong organizational and team building skills; strong oral and written communication skills; and strong computer skills are all necessary. A willingness to travel throughout the year is required along with a willingness to work in the evenings and on weekends when workloads and deadlines dictate. Commitment to exceptional customer service is a must as well as the ability and willingness to contribute to a team environment.
