The Team Manager, Property Practice will be responsible for transformation within our property team by leveraging our technologies and supporting a highly engaged and talented team. With a continuous improvement mindset, collaborative approach, and effective communication skills this role will drive change, innovation, and engagement.
Based in either the Halifax or Sydney, Nova Scotia office this role will oversee people management and operations while balancing client work, with a natural ability to collaborate through exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Reporting to the Managing Director, People & Culture, the successful candidate will support the firm's strategic goals using effective influencing strategies to build respect and trust.
The Team Manager, Property Practice will oversee the day-to-day operations of the property team in areas of; workforce planning, resolving and troubleshooting roadblocks, education, staying current on internal processes, policies, and procedures and fully utilizing existing firm supports. They will also support their direct reports through coaching and mentoring, being active in the recruiting and onboarding processes, leading goal setting, and creating a team and client-focused culture.
The ideal candidate holds a J.D./Law Degree and has practiced property law. They are a natural leader with proven experience in coaching, facilitation, and relationship management. Consideration will be given to candidates with a minimum of five years of property paralegal experience, ideally leading a team and with alternative education.
