What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Finance & Institutional Research, and as a member of the Institutional Research team, you will be responsible for the activities conducted by Team iResearch, including the training and support of staff in the day-to-day operational direction on the policies, procedures, processes and systems used by the team.

Specifically your duties will include planning and implementing annual work plans; managing staff performance; setting performance measures in support of departmental, divisional and organizational strategic goals; managing internal and external data reporting requirements in accordance with federal and provincial regulations; project management; stakeholder consultation and working collaboratively to scope, develop, design, implement and test data, and develop policy, procedures, processes or tools; maintain fluid communication between divisional teams as well as across the College; and other related duties as assigned..

What you'll need

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this opportunity include a two-year Diploma in information technology or business with seven (7) years of related experience; OR a Degree in information technology or business with five (5) years of recent and related experience. Related experience must include compilation, validation and reporting of data in an enterprise environment, a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience managing people and resources, and proficiency in MS Office Suite with demonstrable advanced skill in Excel. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Preference may be given to candidates with experience in a Business Analyst or Programmer Analyst related to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and working in a post-secondary environment in a similar capacity; and MS Access.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes a competitive salary for this position ranging from $48,412 and $67,704 annually.
